Searching the Scriptures

Mali It is no surprise as God turn Saul to Paul and a great job was done through him. The Moslem boy (Name withheld) who reportedly join the church four months is being used by the Lord to confront his parents privately and during their family spare time. Because he is not knowledgeable in the Bible and cannot provide all the answers to the questions from his parents, Pastor Enoch Sagara has been extended a personal invitation into their home every Friday evening under the cover of darkness to search the scriptures. Sagara is hopeful that the Holy Spirit will convict this family. Sagara says that this family is very curious and always comparing scriptures and its implication.

Mean while the Muslim boy (name withheld) is doing great things and responsible for many Muslim youth being converted to other over to Christ. With the implementation of the CPM where people do not necessarily have to come to church or do anything in the public many family now have the opportunity to hear and study the word at home. During the month he invited 7 other Moslem boys and girls who have the courage and boldness over to the church and they turn their lives over to Christ. Finds Man of Peace After 14 Months

Burkina Faso Pastor Moumouny reports that after searching for an estimated period of about 14 months, he is convinced the man he found possesses the qualities of a man of peace (Luke 10). He is excited and working with his man of peace.

Moumouny says that the man (name withheld) has now introduced him to his wife and children and they are quietly meeting and studying the Bible, something this man had bluntly refused to do.

According to Moumouny, this man is an Animist, an ordinary person in the community. He is very interested and excited about spiritual things, the things of God. This man of peace has also introduced him as a friend to another man who is a voodoo doctor. They are quietly studying together without the knowledge of any family member or friend. Here is the voodoo doctor testimony:

“My entire family is from a voodoo back ground. I am a voodoo doctor because I was favored by my grand uncle who passed this on to me. As you know I am very powerful man here and many people come to me and I give them power. But sometimes I always felt intimidated so I knew that there was some other power that is beyond my understanding that confuses me. So when ever I am confused or intimidated and can not find my way out I usually say this to them; base on the request you made to me, I gave you this charm or talisman to work for you, if God agrees.” He said in order for his charm or talisman to work against a person, he first commands the spirit of the person to appear before him. However he admits that he does not have the power no matter how hard he tries to command the spirits of some people (especially some Christians). So he tells his clients that this will work if God agrees, but none of them have ever asked him what he means if God agrees.

Moumouny, His Man of Peace and the Voodoo doctor are studying the Bible quietly.

Pastor Moumouny is requesting that we all join him in prayer so that this man (name withheld) and the voodoo doctor will be true men of peace as they go through the EMD in the CPM pyramid.

Meanwhile the church continues to hold regular church activities, Sunday School, Bible Study and prayer meetings. For the period the church attendance was 103, and a total of 3 person gave their lives to Christ. All 3 were animist.

From A Pastor To A Bus Conductor?

Pastor Jean MaraConakry, Guinea Pastor Jean Mara reports that one of his men of peace we visited while in route from Liberia, a Muslim is cooperating and doing everything to implement the new CPM. This man is an owner of a transport bus that takes local business people to the market every Friday. Transportation in the area is a high demand so most people business people and marketers befriend this man and make pre-transportation arrangements prior to the market day. So every market day he would take Jean Mara with him. Jean Mara serves as the bus conductor who makes appointments and collects fares. Many people have be-friend Jean and are inviting him to their homes. Jean is now a bus conductor, but remains vision minded as he searches for his man of Peace.

He says it is interesting and if there are men of peace among the people that the Lord is putting him in contact with there is no reason why he would not identify them. He is excited about identifying more man of peace and starting house churches soon.

Jean says he is amazed to see how the Lord can open doors for the gospel. He said that it is only by the grace of God that he has so much opportunity to meet, talk and befriend so many people in a short time. He said that the Lord will do something in his life as long as he is committed and faithful. Jean says being a bus conductor earn him an additional income.

We had the opportunity to speak with two of the man of peace and head of the family in private. He told us in his owns words “Now I know the truth, they can kill us if they want” (referring to he and his family). When asked as to who would try to kill him, he replied and said “Pastor the people know themselves”.

Berth & DONE Inc. Training & Revial

The Gambia After one week of a power pack revival held in Dakar, we took off to the Gambia with Birth and his team. While in the Gambia, we conducted a week long seminar on how to effectively use the Koran to witness to a Muslim. Most Christians and Muslims who are now Christians did not realized that the Koran was a useful instrument and very clear on the birth of Jesus Christ (Esa) and the salvation of Mohammed among others.

It was a powerful and exciting time of administering. There were great excitement, many confessions and testimonies of how people were blessed by what they term as “sound teachings”. To date the ministry has received several telephone calls and e-mail from individuals and institutions, congratulating the Bishop and the Ministry for further exposing what they term “the good and hidden part of the Koran”.

It the end of the seminar, the first, second and third year student of the Gambia Bible Training center were awarded certificates of completion.
